Chateau Hostens-Picant AOC Sainte Foy-Bordeaux
Blanc "Cuv'ee des Demoiselles" 2004
- Semillon (50%) - Sauvignon (45%) - Muscadelle
(5%)
- The grapes have had a
pelicullar maceration for 24 hours followed by a gentle pneumatic
press out. The fermentation is made in oak barrels (100% brand new).
Aging will be made on fine lees together with periodic stiring of the
lees in the barrels and this for a period of 10 to 11 months.
Aging is made each category of grapes separatly. The final blend will
not occur befor the end of the period of aging. This period of aging
is oak casks bring to the wine a very nice structure that it will keep
several years in very good conditions.
- Tasting:
E: The robe
is very bright and translucent with a green hue showing its slow
evolution.
N: The nose
reveals a great precision. It blends apricot and peach and is
intensified by a touch of verbena and roasted almond.
M: The fatty
star evokes sugar with milk caramel notes, but the nice acidity
extends this wine of immediate seduction.
